Managing Director, Global Environment Fund
Mr. Tynan joined GEF in 2011 and has primary responsibility for directing and executing GEF’s sustainability strategies and environmental, social, and governance activities.
Prior to joining GEF, Mr. Tynan was a Partner at Dalberg Global Advisors, an emerging markets strategy and policy advisory group, for six years. He led the firm’s Access to Finance practice and all its private equity activities, focusing on renewable energy, energy efficiency, agriculture, and other sustainability-related sectors. Previously Mr. Tynan worked for Booz Allen Hamilton and Andersen Consulting (Accenture) as a strategy consultant, Colonial First State Private Equity as an Associate investing in middle-market growth companies, and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu as an accountant.
Mr. Tynan has Bachelor of Business with First Class Honors and the University Medal from the University of Technology, Sydney, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School.
